In this public SHOT Show 2023 seminar, uploaded to YouTube by Erik Cortina, Bryan Litz and Emil Praslick discuss bullet design and the most difficult part that, as far as we know, no ballistic solver can do: making the right wind call.
These are highly competent people — that said, we respectfully disagree with a few things in the discussion. Then and there, we realized why Wind Call needed to be built. We drew the ideas for the Mirage and Nature pages in the app from that seminar, and it became clear to us that a clock overlay is a must. It is present in most ballistic solvers for a reason, and we could not find a more intuitive way to input wind direction.
